Gymkhana

Students' Gymkhana of IIT Bhubaneswar aims at fostering the talents of Young minds. Students develop themselves by throwing their interests in various extra academic activities related to sports, culture and technology. The Students' Gymkhana is the elected body. The Students' Gymkhana is responsible for governing all the activities of the students. The Students Gymkhana mainly discharges all its activities through the Gymkhana Academic Senate which comprises of President, Treasurer, Vice President ,General Secretaries and a Secretary representing each of the three sectors of the Gymkhana namely Socio-Cultural, Technical and Sports.

The Students' Gymkhana plays a significant role in formation of the policies of the institute. The President and the Vice-President of the Students' Gymkhana are members of the Academic Senate of the Institute. The Vice-President is responsible for speaking on behalf of the students in the Academic Senate meetings.

Students' Gymkhana includes a number of societies formed by the students as follows:

Socio-Cultural: Dance, Music, Fine-Arts, Dramatics, Literary, Souls-for-Solace.

Technical: Robotics, Centre for Entrepreneurship.

Since its inception, Students' Gymkhana is a great asset for student activities. Students' Gymkhana also organises "Alma Fiesta", the Socio-Cultural fest and "Wissenaire", the Techno-Management fest of IIT Bhubaneswar on a very grand scale every year.
