Registration Details

Step Wise Registration Process
 Registration can be done online accessing the website (http://webapps.iitbbs.ac.in/convocation2018/) and using the links in the main page of the website.
 Click on the Registration Button.
 Read the instruction for Registration.
 Register to the online portal by providing your current functioning Email ID and other details and submit the form.
 Login to the portal by providing the Email ID and password provided at the time of registration.
 Click any one option for Registration
 Fill up the Student Registration form and make online payment by clicking the click here button
 Provide your Transaction No./ Reference No then proceed for final submission .
 After successful Registration take the print out and produce it along with the online fee payment receipt and Identity Card for receiving the convocation stole.

Registration Fee
 Rs.1000/- and Rs.2100/- towards Convocation stole. Total fee Rs.3100/- for receiving the Degree in person

Guidelines for Degree Recipients

Fee Details

To take the degree in person :  Rs.1000/- and Rs.2100/- towards Convocation stole. Total fee Rs.3100/- (Rupees three thousand one hundred only).
In absentia : Rs.1500/- (Rupees One thousand five hundred only).

Degree recipients attending the Convocation are required to pay Rs.3100/-.  Degree recipients are encouraged to retain the stole after the convocation, as a memento, which is a silk woven material designed with  traditional art of Odisha and a handloom product.   In case the degree recipients are not interested to take the convocation stole, they may return the same after the Convocation and an amount of Rs.2000/- (deducting Rs.100/-as cleaning charge) will be refunded to their bank account. Please mention the bank account number at the time of registration for convocation.

For attending the Convocation degree recipients are required to maintain proper dress code, i.e. boys should wear Kurta+pajama, girls are required to wear sharee or salwar+kamij. For reference, please see the photographs in the website.  The dress codes are to be  followed strictly without which they may not be allowed to take the degree on the dais.

Security Guidelines

The 6th Convocation of the Institute will be held on 18th March 2018 (Sunday) in the Arugul Campus, IIT Bhubaneswar. Following preliminary guidelines for security have been laid down in connection with the Convocation:

  • Guests must carry both their invitation card (non-transferable) and personal identity card to show them in entrance before the security personnel and it is limited to only one individual.
  • Children below 12 years are not permitted to accompany the guests.
  • Faculty Members of IIT Bhubaneswar are also requested to carry their identity cards.
  • Guests are requested to park their vehicles in designated parking area.
  • Digital devices such as cameras, laptops ,mobiles and other personal belongings like handbags, are not to be carried inside.
  • No edible and water bottles will be allowed inside the Convocation hall.
  • Invitees are requested to remain inside the Convocation hall till the academic procession leaves the hall.
  • All the invitees and students may have to pass the Hand Held Metal Detector Test before entering the convocation hall.
  • All are requested to rise when the Convocation Procession enters and leaves the hall.
