Distinguished Visiting Professor
Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, a Padma Bhusan Awardee and a name synonymous with reviving and revitalizing the UK and the global manufacturing industry and Professor Asit K. Biswas, recipient of The Stockholm Water Prize, the world’s most prestigious prize for outstanding achievement in water-related activities, have both been appointed by the Board of Governors of IIT Bhubaneswar as the Distinguished Visiting Professors, the highest prestigious honorary position of the Institute. Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya (http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/wmg/director/) is currently a Professor and the Director of WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group), UK, which he founded. Professor Asit K. Biswas ( http://www.siwi.org/sa/node.asp?node=57) is currently a Professor and the President of the Third World Centre for Water Management, Mexico, which was founded by him. As Distinguished Visiting Professors they will act as Mentors of the Institute enabling it in scripting a path towards distinction. They will advise the institute in all aspects of academics and research.
