I personally believe that students bear more responsibilities, beyond their routine academics. That is the purpose behind the Students’ Gymkhana; it voices the student’s opinion to the administration, thereby involving them in the decision making process. For a nascent yet burgeoning institute like IIT Bhubaneswar it becomes imperative to understand the requirements of students. The elected students administrate the socio-cultural, sports, technology and other extra academic activities of our institute. The Gymkhana seeks to cultivate qualities of leadership amongst students. Students can participate in a wide range of extra academic activities and harness their potentials in various domains. Students' Gymkhana is the bridge between students and administration and the most crucial elements of this bridge are the elected office bearers. Students' Gymkhana provides a great opportunity to develop and/or enhance leadership qualities and allows students to become regular fixtures in the working machinery of IIT system.
