Introduction
Welcome to the homepage of the Microwave and Optical Engineering Research Group (MOE) at IIT Bhubaneswar. This is one of India’s leading academic research units specializing in multi-disciplinary areas of microwave and optical engineering. In addition to focused research in the microwave and optical domain, the group’s activities are also concentrated in interdisciplinary areas of remote sensing, healthcare, audio processing and big data analytics. All of the research activities of this group are application oriented. The MOE research group is having a large number of publications and is also involved in a number of research projects.
Our research is currently concentrated in the following activity areas:
Remote sensing (Bio-sensor and Nano-sensors for Healthcare and Infrastructure monitoring)
Electromagnetic Engineering
- Antenna design (UWB antennas, fractal antennas and their arrays, Smart antennas)
- Radar and sensing systems Non-destructive testing methods (Ground Penetrating Radar and Through-Wall-Imaging Radar)
- Metamaterial design (Electromagnetic/photonic band gap structures and Artificial Magnetic Conductors)
- Electromagnetic computation, modelling, simulation, fabrication and testing
