Socio–Cultural Council

"Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit."

Socio–cultural council is the nucleus of various extra–curricular / non–academic activities which spans activities ranging from dance,drama and music to literary and fine arts . It plays a vital role in contributing to the personal and intellectual growth of studentsand promotingtheir artistic talent by creating a cultural atmosphere around them. It plans a vivid range of activities which concedes the student fraternity to explore the cultural diversity among itself and aims at developing their intellectual faculty.

The Socio-Cultural council of Gymkhana, IIT BBS aims at providing any possible assistance to its students in promoting the atmosphere of cultural harmony and guiding them through the righteous path of intellectual brilliance. In the past few years of its formation it has entertained its reason for existence. It has organized various cultural sessions filled with the social essence as well as the cultural aroma. For instance, debate sessions organized in the institute have featured grueling clashes of ideas, philosophies and ideals.

"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music". The same belief is reflected in our intoxicating music productions which have many a times rocked the stage. In addition to this we also had some engrossing dance performances that kept the audience awestruck. The various societies that encompass this council have fulfilled all its responsibilities and assure to do the same in the future.
