2nd Call for Research Project Under VARCoE Closed

The scheme provides research support to active researchers to undertake research and development in frontier areas of Augmented and Virtual reality.

Eligibility:

Applicants should be Indian citizens holding a regular Faculty position in IIT Bhubaneswar, India. Existing PI’s are not eligible for submitting new proposals. Co-Pi’s from Computer Sciences or ECE faculty groups are must for successful completion of the project.

Funding:

The funding is provided normally for a period of two years. The research grant is provided for equipment, manpower (Fellowship as per DST, guideline), consumables, and contingency. No provision for overhead or travel under this Funding scheme.

AR/VR Telepresence Communication and Collaboration Systems.
AR/VR Front End Applications and Visualization For AI/Data Analytics Systems.
Virtual Reality in Construction Engineering
AR/VR in Tourism Applications.
Mixed Reality Training
Cultural Heritage and Historical Events Using AR/ VR
Medical Sector Training Using AR/VR

Mode & Selection of Application:

An applicant is eligible to apply only one proposal during a call.
The selection will be based on the recommendations of Program Advisory Committee (PAC) constituted by the Board. If required, the applicants maybe called for discussion/ presentation.

The proposal description should explain how the system will be demonstrated. Proposals submitted must be original in concept and content wise. Plagiarism in any form will not be acceptable.
