The Environmental laboratory at IIT Bhubaneswar has state of the art facilities for UG and PG teaching and research.

Equipments in the laboratory

Freeze Dryer:

Drying of biological sample without heating, i.e., without losing its volatile fraction and preventing it from re-absorption of moisture from ambient atmosphere

Gas Chromatograph:

Identification and characterization of pollutants/chemical compounds present in gaseous/liquid samples.

Sonicator:

Use of Ultrasonic irradiation for strong oxidation of pollutants.

Respirometeric BOD Aparatus:

Precise quantification of biodegradable organics in effluents and wastewater sample.
