Dear Selectee for M Tech admissions at IIT Bhubaneswar,

First of all, I congratulate you for your success at JAM - 2020 and getting selected for M Sc at IIT Bhubaneswar. I heartily welcome you to join the institute

As you may be aware, IIT Bhubaneswar has excellent research facilities, gives a lot of importance to education, offers the best of education and opportunities for all-round development of its students. As a result, competition for admissions into the institute is phenomenally increasing in terms of opening and closing ranks of M Tech (NDTV- https://rb.gy/q0odfp, IITBBS News- https://rb.gy/vtpcoo). In view of the quality of education and with the Career Development Cell of the institute working closely with many top notch industries and best of the organizations, the placements including those of PG programmes have been better than even some of the senior IIT’s.

The campus is growing fast with excellent and global class infrastructure, clean, green and wellness environment with excellent hostel facilities and play fields which are partly developed and likely to be completed within a few months. Due to the current pandemic, we have some strict guidelines to follow including those put forward very meaningfully by the Government. Hence, the institute is not able to bring its fresh students to the campus for classes at the present moment. In its endeavour to have the education run timely for its students, the institute will be admitting the M Sc students virtually and conducting Autumn semester classes of 2020-21, by live streaming as per the time table, from the 26th of this month. As soon as the situation permits, the students will be brought to the campus on priority and education will continue in normal mode. The students are expected to be ready to report at the campus at short notice as and when the institute notifies accordingly, during the current semester.
