International conferences and workshop

  • Fifth International Conference on Solidification Science and Processing (ICSSP5)The Fifth International Conference on Solidification Science and Processing (ICSSP5) was jointly organized by School of Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and School of Mechanical Sciences from 19-22 November 2012. The conference was attended by 120 delegates from India and abroad. The Conference had delegates from fifteen nations.

  • Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME)

    The Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) workshop was jointly organized by IIT Bhubaneswar, Tata Consultancy Services, IIT Madras from India and Oklahoma University and Georgia Tech of USA at Pune from December 18-21, 2013. The key focus of the workshop was to look at ICME from the engineered product/component perspective, with an emphasis on metallic materials and products.

    One day UKIERI workshop on "UKIERI Thematic Partnership in Low Carbon Materials Technologies, Innovation and Application" was jointly organized by School of Mechanical Sciences and School of Minerals Metallurgical & Materials Engineering in April, 2014.

  • Innovative and Sustainable Energy Workshop (iSET-01)

    One day workshop was organized by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar with the support of Planning and Coordination Department, Govt of Odisha to address the issues, intricacies and challenges related to energy we are going to face as human civilization. The main objective of the workshop was to bring together policymakers, industrialists, entrepreneurs, scientists and academicians together for discussion to address the pressing issue of energy sustainability. The luminaries from National Innovation Foundation, National Research Labs, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Chief Secretary, Govt. Of Odisha, Principal Secretary, Ministry, Planning & Coordination Department, Govt. Of Odisha, attended the meeting and discussed this issue and suggested beat practice to foster innovation in the state of Odisha.
