IIT Bhubaneswar celebrates 69th Independence Day in its Permanent Campus

IIT Bhubaneswar celebrated the 69th Independence Day at its Permanent Campus today on 15th Aug 2015 at 9.30am in the play ground. The faculty, staff and students of the institute participated in the celebrations in large numbers with patriotic fervour. Prof R V Raja Kumar, Director hoisted the National Flag and delivered his address.  It was followed by singing of Patriotic songs by students of the music society of the Institute.
While addressing, the Director stated that "On this day, we from IIT Bhubaneswar shall join in paying our respectful homage to the great personalities who sacrificed their lives and fought for the independence of India, re-ignite our hearts with patriotic fervour, re-resolve to maintain unity in diversity and work towards strengthening of the nation in all its dimensions through hard work, adopting high ethical standards, spirited performance of our duties and innovating to bring in positive differences to the society". He stated that the institute has chalked out strong plans and started implementing, to emerge as a strong institute of world class education and to fulfil the national dream. He called upon the students to get empowered with right learning, harness their inherent potential, stay away from being complacent, become informed and knowledgeable individuals, take to entrepreneurship or even in other form contribute for making the "Make in India" dream a reality and to see that "Made in India" becomes a brand.
