School of Electrical Sciences Ph.D. and M. Tech thesis got POSOCO Power System Awards-2017

SES Ph.D. research Scholar Susmita Kar and M. Tech Scholar  Pankaj Dilip Achlerkar have been selected for the prestigious POSOCO Power System Awards-2017 in “Doctoral” and “Masters” Category, respectively.

POSOCO Power System Award (PPSA) is an initiative to recognize and reward innovative technical research excellence in power system by discovering and encouraging fresh Doctoral/Masters research accomplishments in power system and related field. This project is a joint venture of Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO), a subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID), and Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT, Delhi.

Susmita Kar carried out research on “Development of Micro-grid Protection Schemes " and  Pankaj Dilip Achlerkar carried out research on “Variational Mode Decomposition Based Disturbance Detection in Micro-grid” under the supervision of Dr S R Samantaray.

Susmita will receive a cash award of Rs 60,000 and  a citation and, Pankaj will  receive a cash award of Rs 30,000 and  a citation.
