Project led by Prof. Brahma Deo awarded best prize in Industry 4.0 of ICME

 

The presentation made at Indian Institute of Metals Annual Technical Meeting, Nov. 14-16 2018 at Kolkata, based on joint  work of TATA Sponge Iron Limited  (TSIL), Joda,  and sponsored R&D project at School of Minerals, Metallurgical and Material Engineering, IIT Bhubaneswar, received the best prize in section “Industry 4.0 of ICME”.

ICME stands for Integrated Computational Materials Engineering.

The title of presentation was  “ optimization of DRI production through dynamic modeling and simulation at  TSIL”.  

The Principal Investigator of the R&D project at IIT Bhubaneswar is Professor Brahma Deo, Professorial Fellow in the School of Minerals, Metallurgical and Matererials Engineering. 

Engineers and plant management of  TSIL actively helped the IIT Bhubaneswar team for implementation on shop floor.
