Biosketch

Soumya P. Dash received the B.Tech. (H) degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, in 2014 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 2019. From January 2019 to March 2019, he was an Early Doctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Since March 2019, he has been with the faculty of the School of Electrical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His research interests include communication theory for hybrid communication systems, power line communications, smart grid communications, next-generation wireless communication systems, and diversity combining.
 
He is a Member of the IEEE Communications and Vehicular Technology Societies. He was the recipient of the VDGOOD Young Scientist Award and the President of India Gold Medal for the academic year 2013-14 for obtaining highest CGPA amongst the students graduating with B.Tech. (H) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar.
