Teachers' Day Greetings from Director
Dear All
Today is the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher, scholar, philosopher, Bharat Ratna, and a former President of independent India. On the eve of teacher's day, let us all pay our respectful tributes to Dr Radhakrishnan ji, derive inspiration from his life, and rededicate ourselves to uphold the values he stood for.
On this occasion, I congratulate all the teachers at IIT Bhubaneswar, for being teachers and greet them. I am pleased to share the following with them, “I took up teaching by choice, I believe that it is the same with you too, let us be proud of our profession and remember the responsibilities that are associated with this special position endowed by the society”.
Let us take a pledge that we will live by the virtues of being a good teacher, re-dedicate ourselves to the cause of educating our students in a spirited manner and help shaping them in many aspects as tomorrow’s leaders including making them ready to meet tomorrow’s big challenges, both techno-scientific and social, facing the society”.
