Engineer’s Day 2021 - Message from Prof R V Raja Kumar, Director

Today is the 160th birth anniversary of the great Indian Engineer, Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. Our nation celebrates this auspicious day as Engineers day. On this day, we pay homage to this great son of India, recall and take inspiration from the remarkable contributions made and services rendered by him to the Nation. His engineering and technological creations of the past are still standing and serving the needs of our nation even today. He also demonstrated that even by intuition an engineer can use own expertise and engineering mind and can create outstanding things without going wrong.

On this occasion, I greet all the engineers both professionals and our students the budding engineers and call upon to feel proud of our profession and rededicate ourselves to uphold the values Shri Visvesvaraya stood for.

Let us also take a pledge to follow the footsteps of Shri Visvesvaraya and constantly strive towards realizing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat through an innovative mind set.
