Prof. G. Panda of the School of Electrical Sciences to be awarded the First Biju Patnaik Award for Scientific Excellence 2012

The "Biju Patnaik award for Scientific Excellence" is the first award of its kind instituted by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Odisha. The award is named as "BIJU PATNAIK AWARD FOR SCIENTIFIC EXCELLENCE" after the great visionary Biju Patnaik, an illustrious son of the soil. It will be awarded to an Odia Scientist working any where in India or abroad each year for his/her lifetime Research contributions in the field of Science & Technology, through the Odisha Bigyan Academy.

For the inaugural year 2012, the Odisha Bigyan Academy has announced Prof. G. Panda is to receive this prestigious award.
