Director's Message on the eve of Teacher's Day

Teachers' Day Greetings from Prof R V Raja Kumar

The 5th Sept 2015 marks the 127th birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan, the 2nd President of India, a teacher par excellence, a great philosopher, a statesman and Bharat Ratna awardee. On this day at IIT Bhubaneswar, let us pay our respectful homage to this great personality and derive inspiration to work for achieving excellence in teaching and learning.

Teaching is a multidimensional creation that leads a student to higher cognitive strata and transformation into an enlightened citizen imbibed with right values. A teacher has a great opportunity to be a role model and play this role to one's best. Let us all fellow teachers give our best in the holistic growth and enlightenment of our students. I take this opportunity to call upon the faculty and staff of IIT Bhubaneswar to join in rededicating ourselves to strive to shape our institute into a model seat of higher learning and the students to reciprocate with a right zeal, learning attitude and excellence.
