It is seen that student from different schools and colleges indulge in Blue Whale game/challenge and in the process hurt themselves. One such instance each has been reported in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar UPD recently.

 

In order to create awareness on the matter a Workshop under the Chairmanship of the Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack with representatives of various educational institutions was held in the Police Commissionerate Headquarters, Bhubaneswar on September 15, 2017.

 

On the request of Commissioner of Police, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar deputed the following officers to attend the Workshop as resource persons.

Dr. Padmalochan Bera, Faculty, SES
Mr. Sanku Das, System Engineer
Ms. Manisha Mishra, Student Counsellor (Psychologist)

The officers attended the workshop, addressed the participants on the technical aspect of the blue whale game menace and answered questions asked by the participants.
