A Free Liver Screening & Gastro Consultation Camp with Diet Counselling was organized at the Sanjeevan Health Centre of Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar in collaboration with SUM Ultimate Hospital, Bhubaneswar, on April 25, 2026. The camp aimed to raise awareness about liver diseases, gut health, healthy dietary practices, and the importance of preventive healthcare among the campus community and nearby residents.

The consultation and screening services were conducted by Dr. Gadadhar Panda, DM (Gastroenterology), MD (Medicine), along with Ms. Debasmita, Dietician from SUM Ultimate Hospital. The camp was held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sanjeevan Health Centre, IIT Bhubaneswar.

A total of 136 patients attended the Gastroenterology consultation camp and underwent expert consultation along with Liver Fibro Scan screening. In addition, 43 patients received personalized diet counselling and guidance on maintaining healthy dietary habits.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Seema Bahinipati, PIC Healthcare, and Dr. Abhimanyu Raju S. R., Medical Officer, whose encouragement and support added value to the initiative.

The camp was organized by SUM Ultimate Medicare in association with the Sanjeevan Health Centre, IIT Bhubaneswar, reflecting a collective effort to promote accessible healthcare services, liver health awareness, gut health education, and diet counselling within the community.
