Health Camp for “Swachhata Mitras” under Swachhata Hi Seva Programme
As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Programme, a health camp was organized at the Sanjeevan Health Centre (SHC) for the “Swachhata Mitras” of IIT Bhubaneswar on September 29, 2026.
Free health consultations were provided to 57 staff members, comprising 15 members of the Horticulture team and 42 members of the Housekeeping team. The participants were also provided with the required medicines free of cost.
As part of the initiative to promote occupational safety and well-being, 70 safety gears were distributed among the Housekeeping team. In addition, free blood tests were conducted for female housekeeping staff to assess their haemoglobin levels, supporting early identification of anaemia and promoting better health awareness.
The initiative reflects IIT Bhubaneswar’s commitment to the health, safety and well-being of its Swachhata Mitras, while promoting the spirit of dignity, care and inclusivity in the workplace.
