Job Summary:

As the Office Manager , the individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the AHRC at IIT Bhubaneswar. This position requires a dynamic professional who will be responsible for managing administrative processes, maintaining project documentation, organizing events, and supporting research staff onboarding. The role also involves maintaining compliance, managing resources and assets, preparing reports, and facilitating seamless communication between interdisciplinary teams. With a focus on operational excellence, the individual will contribute to the center’s mission of fostering cutting-edge research and and this position is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and experience in R&D or academic environments.

Salary & Compensation:

Rs. 8-10 lacs per year, consolidated

Essential Qualifications:

-B.Tech/M.Tech in disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade.

-Proficiency in computer applications and office productivity tools is essential.

-A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in academic /R&D  institutes ,administrative or managerial roles within Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or similar organizations.

Job Summary:

As a Principal Research Scientist, the individual will lead and conduct advanced research at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Speech, focusing on their application in the areas of medicine, finance and assistive technology. They will spearhead innovative research and prototyping projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and utilize advanced data analysis and ML/DL modeling techniques to develop software and hardware systems in these areas. Their responsibilities include publishing research findings, securing funding through grant writing, mentoring junior researchers, and more importantly, working with researchers and engineers to develop product prototypes and deploy in the field. Engaging with stakeholders such as government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions, they will drive the organization’s leadership in the field and foster collaborative opportunities.

Salary & Compensation:

Rs. 12 – 16 lacs per year, consolidated

Essential Qualifications:

-PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a prestigious national or international institution.
-Seven plus years of relevant experience in industry/academia
-Proven expertise in AI, ML/DL, NLP, speech processing, and their application in medicine, assistive technology and finance, developing and deploying prototype applications in these areas.
-Proficiency in software development tools and programming languages like Python, MATLAB, C/C++, and ML/DL development environments such Tensor Flow, Keras, Chat GPT and others.
-Demonstrated record of publishing research in high-impact journals and conferences.
-Strong foundation in software modeling and development in a team environment, especially in an industry research lab.
-Exceptional research proposal writing skills.
-Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal

Their responsibilities will include publishing research findings, securing funding through grant writing, mentoring junior researchers, and more importantly, working with researchers and engineers to develop software product prototypes and deploy in the field. Engaging with stakeholders such as government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions, they will drive the organization’s leadership in the field and foster collaborative opportunities.

Salary & Compensation:

Salary: Rs. 9-12 lacs per year, consolidated

Essential Qualifications:

-PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering, genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, biology or a closely related discipline from a prestigious national or international institution.
-strong knowledge in both machine learning/deep learning and genetics/genomics/proteomics
-Two to three years of experience in industry/academia in applying these technologies in drug discovery, disease prediction and other related areas
-Proficiency in software development tools and programming languages like Python, MATLAB, C/C++, and ML/DL development environments such Tensor Flow, Keras, Chat GPT and others.
