National Cadet Corps (NCC)
The National Cadet Corps is the civilian youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, which inculcates discipline and patriotism in its volunteers. Students who join the NCC complete training for parade marches, which they take part in during occasions such as the campus Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations. Cadets can also attend training camps where they are given NCC training according to the applicable syllabus (Army, Navy, or Air Force), as well as survival skills.
B.Tech. first year students also can NCC as part of their EAA course work for which they can get credits. Now IIT Bhubaneswar has options for both girl and boys to join the NCC. The students who join NCC attend various NCC campus in the state.
NCC activities is taken care by one care taking officer (CTO) at IIT Bhubaneswar.
